2 ships enter Mongla port after 5 days of being stranded at outer anchorage

Two merchant vessels from outside the country that were stranded at the outer anchorage due to a navigability issue, finally anchored in the Harbaria zone in Mongla Seaport this afternoon after nearly 5 days.

It is reported that the Panama flag-carrier MV CS Future anchored at Harbaria-10 of Mongla Port and the Tuvalu flag carrier MV Pioneer Dream anchored at Harbaria-11 in the port Our Bagerhat correspondent has reported in the presence of Commander Sheikh Fakaruddin Harbour Master of the Mongla Port Authority.

The two ships were able reach Harbaria after the hopper dredger was towed into the anchorage's outer area to resolve the navigational issue He added that the goods are currently being removed from the two vessels.

On September 30th, MV CS Future ship carrying 23,000 metric tons Urea arrived at the outside anchorage at Mongla port, while MV Pioneer Dream with 11,000 tonnes of ceramic goods arrived at the anchorage's outermost point on October 1.
